Yes or No Wheel
Stuck on a decision? Spin and let chance answer. Edit the entries to add "Maybe" or "Ask again".
Tip: add *3 after a name (for example Pizza*3) to make it 3 times as likely.

Lists stay in this browser. Use first names or initials for students.
Names already picked this round stay off the wheel, even after you close the page. When everyone has been picked, a new round starts.

How to use the yes or no wheel
- Press SPIN. The wheel lands on Yes or No.
- Want more than two answers? Edit the entries and add "Maybe", "Ask again later" or "Yes, definitely".
- To make one answer more likely, add a weight: "Yes*2" and "No*1" makes Yes twice as likely.
Good for
- Settling a small disagreement fairly
- Deciding whether to go out tonight
- Breaking a tie when a group is split
- A coin-flip alternative for kids' games
Tips
- The wheel has no memory, so five Yes answers in a row is just chance, not a pattern.
- For a decision that matters, treat the result as a probe: if the answer disappoints you, you have learned what you wanted.
FAQ
Is the yes or no wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is chosen with the browser's cryptographic random number generator before the animation starts, so the spin is only for show.
Is this better than flipping a coin?
Both are fair. The wheel is easier to show on a shared screen, and you can add more answers or weights, which a coin cannot do.
Does the wheel favour Yes or No?
No. With equal entries each answer has the same chance. You can test this yourself on the randomness audit page.
