Without an account, nothing you type is uploaded

You can use every wheel and tool without signing in. The entries you type, your results, and any lists you save are processed in your browser. Saved lists are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device; clearing your site data removes them.

Share links and embeds

A share link stores the wheel's entries in the part of the address after the "#". Browsers do not send that part to servers, so we never receive it. Anyone you give the link or embed code to can see those entries, so don't share a wheel containing names you want kept private.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional and lets you keep saved lists across devices and use class memory. We ask Google only for your email address and a Google account identifier (the "openid" and "email" scopes). We do not receive your Google password, contacts, or other account data.

When you sign in, we store on our hosting provider's database (Cloudflare D1):

• your email address and Google account identifier;
• the lists you choose to save (their names and entries);
• if you turn on class memory for a list, which entries were picked and when (kept for up to 120 days);
• a sign-in session: only a one-way hash of a random token is stored, and your browser keeps the token in a cookie for up to 30 days.

We use this only to run the features above. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

Deleting your data

Choose "Delete account & data" in the menu next to your email address. That permanently removes your account, saved lists, class memory records and sessions. You can also export your lists as a JSON file first. If you can't use the menu, email us and we will delete it for you.

Students and children's data

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and signing in requires a Google account. Teachers who save class rosters are responsible for following their school's and region's rules about student information. We recommend using first names or initials only, and not saving lists you are not allowed to store with a third-party service.

Cookies

When you sign in we set a session cookie, a marker cookie that tells the page you're signed in, and a short-lived cookie used during the Google sign-in step. Google Analytics also sets cookies to count visits. Advertising providers, if enabled on this site, may set their own cookies.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off until you click Accept in the cookie banner, and Reject keeps it off. Elsewhere it is on by default. Either way you can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser and applies for a year. The sign-in cookies are needed for the sign-in feature to work and are only set when you sign in.

Analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are used (pages visited, approximate location such as country or region, and device and browser type). We do not send the contents of your wheels or lists to Analytics. The site may also show ads from Google AdSense. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles analytics data. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized ads inGoogle's Ads Settings or ataboutads.info/choices.

Hosting

The site and its account features are hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests (such as IP addresses) as part of delivering the site.
